In December of 2020, Vivian Mace discovered Rogue Origin CBD via her son who gifted her a pound of Lifter. Since then, she’s been hooked. She dissected the whole flower (and ordered a bunch more) to make an array of health and wellness remedies for her family and community near and far from her farm in small town Missouri. She is a human full of curiosity and knowledge—the kind of person who will learn every possible thing she can about a subject that interests her. The past couple of years, that subject has been the healing powers of CBD and CBG hemp flower. She is the author of three self published books on the subject : The Complete Psalms of Cannabis, Granny; Why I started Cooking and Canning with Cannabis, and Herbal Birth Control.

She is adamant about the benefits of extraction. “Your body absorbs 96% of all the compounds and takes them where they need to be in the body. It doubles in strength.” She is a big fan of Rogue Origin’s trim, “there are endless healing opportunities if you have the mindset. Every part of our society teaches us to waste and burn up resources that could be useful in different processes were applied from the beginning. The trim holds so much medicine. CBD and CBG should be rated E for everybody, because there is something everybody can get from all parts of the plant.”

Personally, for Vivian, it’s transformed her life and her passions. She’s a third generation Hawaiian, was a Combat Medic in the Army, and lived off grid for seven years on the Big Island. She studied through college by kerosene lantern. Needless to say, she’s an incredibly wise badass…

After having CBD in her possession for a month, Vivian stopped drinking. She says the CBD has helped her drop 20 pounds, “it’s a diuretic and helps the body flush out unnecessary fluids.” It’s helped her husband’s mood and appetite. Her slumber. Their inflammation. She makes extractions with Rogue Origin’s trim and transforms the trim into all around treatments for her family. She’s made massage oil for body pain. She makes a CBD/CBG tea that she blends with other herbs that “is great for pain and increasing energy.” She’s currently experimenting with CBD gummies for pain and inflammation. “It’s a miracle plant. It works wonders,” Mace exclaims.

One of her biggest successes with the extractions has been with her mother. She sent her mom her CBD/CBG Magic Oil blend (recipe below) to help with her serious back pain from an injury that she was prescribed opiates for. “It cut her opioid use in half. She went from 30 MGs a day to 15 MGs. It helped remove fluid from her body. The receptors in the body take the medicine (the CBD/CBG) where it needs to be. It helped with her pain in a major way.”

Vivian believes it needs to be a household remedy. She encourages everyone to try it out, to have fun with it, and to help it remedy whatever it is that is bothering them. “The body knows where it needs to go,” she informs.

She could go on and on about the benefits she’s seen unfold right in front of her. She’d hand out her concoctions to everyone in the land if she had the resources. But for now, she’s sharing her Magic Oil Recipe. All you need is trim, olive or coconut oil and Lecithin (Lecithin works as an emulsifier; it suspends fats and oils and keeps them from mixing with other substances. Can be found at a local health food store or here on Amazon).
