We grew it at Rogue Family Farms in Eagle Point, Southern Oregon, in three fields, mostly in a seven-cultivar trial block. It's hang-dried on the branch and hand-trimmed on the farm.
Our branches hang upside down in the dry barn for 10 to 14 days before they go into Super Sacks. Rushing that step can leave flower harsh and fade its aroma, so we give each harvest the time it needs.
Smalls are a byproduct of trimming Tops. Tops are trimmed after you order, and the smaller buds separated out in that trim become Smalls. Their supply depends on how many Tops orders are trimmed. Same cultivar, same lab results, lower price per gram.
Animal Muffins is a cross of Lemon Fritter and Flows Cookies, bred by High Alpine Genetics.
We planted it in three fields. Most of it grew in a seven-cultivar trial block at our Eagle Point farm, next to Strawberry Doughnuts, which also has a Flows Cookies parent.
Out of the bag it smells like a bakery, cookies and muffins with an apple-pie undertone. Break a bud open and it gets thick, hearty and pungent, with a loud, gassy cookie note.

The buds are frosty green with orange pistils, some with purple tones, and very sticky.

At harvest the crew cuts whole branches and hangs them upside down on aluminum drying hangers in our dry barn for a slow 10 to 14 day dry and cure. The branches then go into Super Sacks in a temperature- and humidity-controlled room, where the flower stays on the stem until it's bucked and hand-trimmed here on the farm. Rushing the drying and curing process can leave flower harsh and fade its aroma, so we give it the time it needs to lock in the unique flavors, smells, and terpenes.
